Carry-On Luggage

Most US airlines limit passengers to a maximum of one carry-on luggage piece and a personal item that is small enough to store below your seat or in the overhead compartment. We recommend that you check with your airline first, but most domestic flights permit a carry-on luggage piece that does not exceed 22" x 14" x 9" or 45" linear inches (Length + Width + Height) overall. Most airlines also have a carry-on luggage weight limit of 40 pounds. Personal items may include a briefcase, duffel bag, backpack, laptop or purse.

Carry-on standards vary from airline to airline; therefore, travelers are advised to contact their airline or refer to their airline's website prior to departure to ensure the size and weight standards are met.

International airlines may have different restrictions for carry-on luggage. Again, it is always best to check with your airline first to get their exact requirements.
