I just received this a couple of days ago, so I can't say for exact sure how it "works" I can however tell by the size and lightweight it will be perfect for what I need. Ordering online I was nervous it wouldn't be big enough, but I was so excited when I saw it. I have an old travel bag, they don't carry it anymore. This is a great replacement!

I spent a month traveling Europe with this bag. It had enough room for everything I needed when moving across a continent. It had huge carrying capacity and looked as good as new by the end of the month despite the constant abuse. It's already serving as my go to weekend trip bag as well. I LOVE this bag and recommended it to everyone who wants to travel with style and practicality!

I use this bag to travel all over - long trips abroad and weekends away. It is so easy to use as my carry on bag on the airplane. The pockets at the front make it easy to keep all important documents/passport in an easy to reach place. The Pen holders and pockets are in just the right place! The best thing is this bag is so light it can be folded into a suitcase and used as an extra bag (to bring all those things home we buy on vacation). I Liked it so much I bought another 3 bags - 2 for gifts and an extra for me just in case this bag should be discontinued!

I use this bag for weekend trips to visit my boyfriend. My favorite thing about this bag is the long zippered pocket across the front, it is THE PERFECT place to keep your carry on toiletries: easy to access at airport screening and quick to put back in! I got the bright pink bag because it's vibrant, easy to spot, and easy to describe. The quality is great, even when over stuffed I don't worry about it falling apart. The design allows you to comfortably carry this bag with the dual straps on your shoulder, or on the longer strap across your body as well as on the shoulder. I can over-pack this bag without worry and comfortably carry it up 3 flights of stairs, I LOVE IT!

I used this bag as my carry-on for a 2 week trip to China and it saved my life! Holds a ton, lightweight, perfectly organized....I put a small Kipling purse in it plus my Dell 9 inch netbook..plus tons more! I am back for another to store away, even though the first one is in absolutely perfect shape. Best part is that it slips over the handle of my rolling bag!!!

This is a wonderful bag to carry on a flight or for a short weekend trip. I have also checked this bag in when I had to carry shampoos home and it withstood the stress of being tossed around with no problem. Not only is it easy to carry, but I like that there is a pocket in the back so that I can slip it over my roller bag. I am not disappointed at all in this bag.

I couldn't travel without this bag. I use it as my second carry on luggage, along with my matching Kipling New York 22" Juicy Pink. It slips right on to the handle of my New York 22" for easy transport. Great size, holds alot of stuff. Comfortable to carry and great design.

I couldn't travel without my Sherpa. I use it as my second carry on luggage, along with my matching Kipling 22" Expandable Trolley in Black. As with all of my other Kipling bags, the Sherpa is lightweight, and high quality. This bag makes a great weekender bag too. Plenty of room, pockets and easy to keep everything organized. Plus it slips right on to the handle of my Trolley for easy transport. Shoulder strap and double hand/shoulder handles make this great bag easy to carry. I love it so much that I bought one in Red too. I use that one when I have a lot to carry to work.

I had a bag that was very similar that finally wore out, so I bought this bag to replace it. Imagine my surprise when it arrived and I found out that the bag is actually lightly padded to help keep its boxy shape. Padded = Heavy. While my old lined but unpadded one weighed a little over 1lb, this bag weighs in at 2lbs!

I travel intra-Europe a lot and there is a strict 5kg/11lb limit for your single allowed carryon, so a lightweight bag is essential.

However, the front zipped area contains an organization panel for pda, pens, cellphone, and the 2 front pockets are handy for the your 3-1-1 bag and your inflatable pillow in the other. The sleeve on the back is designed to slip over the trolley handle. All these features were not in my old bag. The size of this bag is also the largest size permitted as your personal bag on cross-Atlantic or cross-Pacific flights.

Overall I would highly recommend this bag for the size, shape and features. My only gripe is the padding and the extra weight. But this is possibly the lightest full-featured bag on the market today.

It is good looking enough to double as a shopping tote, a gym bag, a daytrip bag or a weekend bag.
