I live in Mexico, but bought this bag during a trip to New York. In my opinion, it's not only the best messenger bag, it's also the best Kipling bag! I also own a Seoul, a Firefly and a College, but this one is way more comfortable and stylish. I got it in True Blue, which goes with everything. The main purpose of this bag is not carrying a computer, but it is great at it anyways. For example, I always carry around 3 notebooks, 4 mid-sized books, my 13" MacBook, lots of folders, a bottle of water, a Freedom pencil case ;), a cosmetic pouch, chargers for my electronics, wallet, and many, many other things, and I STILL have space left! My only complaint is all of the people that have been saying that this bag is "expensive" - in Mexico and most of Latin America, it costs the equivalent to [$]!, so I wouldn't complain if I were you guys :P Considering my experience with other Kipling products, this bag will last a lot of years, so I'd DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone, anywhere, at whatever price.

I use this bag for school, it's amazing! It holds so much stuff that you can't imagine. I love this bag because it's pretty and holds more stuff than a jansport or any other bookbag. I recommend this for you, if you carry alot of stuff in your bookbag.

I bought this bag for school use in 2006. It's now 2011 (6 years) and I still use the bag. That's junior high through high school and you know how kids treat their belongings! The velcro has worn out and there are rips in the front and inside, but I'm a very irresponsible person so the fact that the bag is still mostly intact just shows how amazing this bag is. Everything fits in this bag! I put my cellphone, metrocard and stuff I always need quickly in the conveniet front pocket and my huge binders and notebooks ALWAYS FIT. I can even fit textbooks in there. The bag is also very stylish. I've gotten many compliments on it and it also looks small even though it can hold a lot of stuff. I would recommend using this bag for only school use though. It's not appropriate for casual use..well not to me at least.

I bought this bag sometime during my freshman year in high school and it is still holding up a decade later. I'm not sure what Kippling is doing right and what other bag companies aren't getting, but this bag is highly recommended. Think about it. Take the price, devide it by 10. That's like [$] a year for the bag. It's outlasted three-fold all my other backpacks (Jansport, Swissgear)

I had a slightly different older version of this bag for 6-7 years before buying this newer one, but they're almost identical. The bag is virtually indestructible. It followed me from high school through graduate school and on countless trips. I carried it at least 4 days out of every week. The velcro wore out first, the plastic shoulder pad snapped off after 5 years, and one of the zippers finally broke and a small hole appeared in the interior pocket after 6 years. The bag is still usable.

I would definitely recommend it for school and travel. It's great for a laptop, books, pens, and a bottle of water in a front pocket for school. It can expand to squeeze in a laptop, newspapers, book, sweater, bottled water, and all the little misc stuff from airport shops while keeping tickets and important documents isolated in a zippered inside pocket.
