When I got it in the mail, I was disappointed because it looked much smaller than I expected. But it turned out to be the right size for traveling around NYC. I could carry all the things I needed and it was not too heavy. You probably cannot fit a laptop, but there are other bags for that.

Great front pockets for iphone and camera and great personal document and pen zipper compartment.

I hate big bags, so I usually carry something like a Kipling mini bag whenever I can, and usually an Alvar when I need a slightly bigger purse. When I need my iPad, a book, a sweatshirt, or anything else that won't fit in a smaller bag, this is perfect. The little front pockets are great for a phone, MP3 player, small wallet, or whatever little thing you want to get at easily. It also has my favorite Kipling features - pen slots and key clip - so I can stay organized. I love that it's a backpack because it keeps the weight of my stuff balanced and leaves my hands free. I also like it for days at Walt Disney World (we're pass holders) to hold a rain poncho, water bottle, and souvenirs I might buy during the day.

If you carry tons of stuff, this bag won't be big enough for you. But if you're like me and want the smallest bag you can get that still holds everything you need, this is perfect.

I bought my first Kiplinger bag in the UK in 2003. I have used it almost everyday since. I love it! The zippers are dependable and easy to use. The front zipper on mine is a single pouch. My only complaint is that I can get the purple anymore. And the color selection is not to my liking.
