I got this knowing that it's going to be very useful. It's more like small version of messenger bag with many compartments to organize your stuff. I use when going to trips (short or long) since it frees my hands and easy excessability. I like the fact that every compartment has zipper so even if shaken around nothing drops.

My 6 y/o son wanted a messenger bag for carrying his trinkets (DS, cards, small toys) so I ordered this in blue which is perfect size for kids as well. Its not overwhelming size like some other messenger bags. Very versatile and sturdy. He has been abusing his for about 3 months and still looks new. It's going to last very long time so it's worth every penny!

IT COULDN'T BE NAMED BETTER. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING IT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER FOR THE PERFECT BAG FOR WORK. IT CANCARRY EVERYTHING I NEED AND MORE. I ESPECIALLY WANTED THE ACROSS THE SHOULDER STRAP SO MY HAND ARE FREE. IT IS THE PERFECT BAG.

I own two New Rita Medium bags (one in peacock blue and another in a light, army-greenish basic color), among a number of other Kipling bags, luggage and accessories. The New Rita is one of my most used Kipling handbags, and surely a favorite.

If it had another .25 to .5 inches to the width of the strap and/or an option for a dual handle, this bag would be perfect. Because I stuff it silly, sometimes it feels like the straps dig into my shoulders. Other than that, I'd give it 5 stars.

This is why, I'm sort of eyeing the Defea. I don't have that one yet, and it's got the dual handle option, with detachable shoulder strap. Plus, it's wider, so that might be better.

Anyway, I love New Rita, and I love Kipling. It's the one extravagance I have in my life.

I have two of the Robin bags (in black and a soft red). Periodically, I switch to another purse for its color, size, or for a special event; but no matter which other purse I use, I keep going back to this one. It is comfortable, lightweight, waterproof, easy to clean, and virtually indestructible. I can adjust the strap to a comfortable length for me. It is a good size. I can carry all of my essentials, even letter size envelopes without bending them. It also seems to magically expand when I need to stuff something extra in it. Yet, it is not large and bulky. It is easy to see and access what I have in there because it has a relatively large opening and it has some body to it so that it does not collapse on itself and hide the contents. I like that the zipper and flap close securely so that things do not fall out and it is harder for someone to reach in and grab something from it. I am also glad that it only has a half flap. I find it annoying in other purses to have to lift up a long flap every time I want to get something in the bag. Also, you can still access the outside pockets without having to lift the flap. The only criticism I have is about the two outside pockets. Since the zippers can open halfway down on the sides of the pockets, things can fall out if you do not remember to keep them zipped up, at least to the top edge of the pocket. I would also like to see an additional, longer, flat zippered pocket on the external back side of the purse. Overall, these purses are just wonderful. They are comfortable, useful, and so much more worth it than overpriced, ugly, impractical handbags with other people's initials on them.

This is a great medium sized messenger bag. I love that it has an easy to open velcro flap AND and zipper so that nothing falls out if turned upside down which is what happens with my Manhattan Portage bag. And it is lightweight and super durable. I bought 2.
